How to migrate your data to a Huawei phone

Preconditions

This is where there is a slight divide. If you have installed Google Mobile Services (GMS) on your phone which includes the Google Play Store, all you need to do is download and install the Huawei Phone Clone app on your old phone and new Huawei phone.

Let’s start

Once the app is installed on both phones, run the app on each phone. On the old phone, choose This is the old phone prompt and on the new Huawei phone, choose the This is the new phone fast.

Follow the next steps and identify the operating system or brand of the old phone. You will now be prompted to scan a QR code on the new Huawei phone through the old phone.

Scan the QR code of the new phone using the QR code reader of the old phone on your screen. This creates a dedicated hotspot connection between the two phones to start the data transfer process.

You will see a notification on both phones confirming a successful pairing. Once done, choose the content you want to transfer from your old phone to the new phone.

Depending on the amount of data to be transferred, this is the longest part of the process.

It is recommended to leave both phones on a level surface and not to use any phone during this process.

Once the transfer is complete, you will see a notification on both screens confirming that data has been exchanged between the two devices.
