Huawei launched MediaPad T3 7.0 in April this year. It now appears that the company is working on a new variant of the tablet, as an unannounced tablet with model number BG2-U01 was spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency TENAA. The list not only contains pictures of the phone, but also contains the detailed specifications of the device.
According to the list, Huawei BG2-U01 has a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128 GB via a microSd card. The tablet is backed up by a 4000 mAh battery and runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
On the front of the camera, the Huawei BG2-U01 sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera on the front as well. The dimensions of the tablet are 187.6 x 103.7 x 8.6 mm and it weighs 275 grams. The device is listed in Streamer Gold and Sky Gray colors. The sensors include a gravity sensor, a distance sensor and a light sensor.
In addition, the tablet with model number BG2-U01 also received WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA) under the name Huawei Media T3 7 which further enhanced the possibility of the new variant of the tablet. In accordance with Wi-Fi certification, Huawei tablet will support Wi-Fi a / b / g / n (2.4 GHz) and Wi-Fi Direct single-band connectivity features. Unfortunately, the list does not show any specs except that the device will be powered by the Android operating system without mentioning the version of Android. The listing has the certification ID WFA72908 and the certification date is July 25, 2017.
As a reminder, the Huawei MediaPad T3 7 has a 7-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels offering a pixel density of 170ppi. Underneath, the device is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK MT8127 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3 GHz with the Mali 450 GPU. The tablet comes with two storage options, one with 1 GB of RAM with 8 GB of internal storage and the other with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Both variants offer an expandable storage slot with a capacity of 64 GB. The MediaPad T3 7 runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with EMUI 4.1 in addition.
For optics, the tablet sports a 2 megapixel camera in its back panel as well as a 2 megapixel front camera. The MediaPad T3 packs a powerful 3,100mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G / LTE, WiFi 802.11b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The tablet will also be available in the WiFi variant only. The tablet measures 179 x 103.68 x 8.6 mm and weighs 250 grams.
