The choice of a Huawei model when purchasing a mobile phone is directly proportional to the inability to use any of the Google applications. The Chinese company is blacklisted by the United States and is not authorized to use any of the multinational American technology services.
However, there are a number of methods that you can continue to use. Some don’t come highly recommended – even Huawei says – but there is another way to use popular apps like Maps or Gmail. It is also a completely legal process that is easy to implement.

How to use blocked applications?
The apps, as such, cannot be used on a Huawei mobile phone. However, the websites are accessible through a search engine.
With that clarity, you can create a shortcut on the home screen to direct you to the web version of any of the Google apps. This way, they can be used comfortably without having to search for them in the browser.
To achieve this, just follow these steps:
Direct access to Google applications using the browser
- Access your Huawei mobile browser
- Find the website (YouTube, Gmail, Maps…) you want to add to the shortcut
- Click on the three dots
- Click the “Add to Home Screen” option.
Once these steps have been completed, a shortcut will appear in the main menu of the mobile which will lead directly to the applications, in desktop version, which will have been selected. The best is not to compromise the security of the device.
